Figgjo “Morocco”
Turi Gramstad Oliver produced dozens of outstanding designs in her time at Figgjo and her breakthrough design, and still one of the most popular, is “Lotte” from 1962. However, there is so much more to Turi’s charming designs than the iconic “Lotte” though.
One Turi design I came across recently which I haven’t previously is “Morocco” which really suits the bright white glaze the forms the design is placed on.
It is a lovely repeat pattern in red oxide and brown hues, which wraps well around the forms. I love the attention to detail on the small flower motifs, which Turi had with all of her designs.
This series was in production from 1973 until c1980. (NOT 1967-1968 as many online sellers appear to state having copied the information from an original error someone made)
